What to Do If You Receive a Disconnection Notice from RVEC

If you receive a notice from Raccoon Valley Electric Cooperative (RVEC) that your electric service will be disconnected due to a past-due bill, you have options. You must act before the shut-off date.

You can:

  1. Pay the bill in full
     
  2. Enter into a reasonable payment plan with RVEC (see below)
     
  3. Apply and be approved for low-income energy assistance (see below)
     
  4. Provide a doctor’s note if someone in the home has a serious health condition (see below)

Dispute the bill if you believe there is an error (see below)

  1. Regular Office: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
     
  2. Summer Hours (Memorial Day to Labor Day):
    1. Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
       
    2. Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
