RVEC staff are here to help every step of the way, making sure your service changes are handled quickly and efficiently.

If you’re moving to a property we serve or building within Raccoon Valley Electric Cooperative’s service territory, you’ll need to establish a membership account with RVEC.

To get started, please complete our Membership Application. To help the process go smoothly, be prepared to provide the following:

Requested service start date (Please ask the previous owner or occupant to contact us to close their account.)
911 address of the property
Mailing address for billing
Map location number or account number (if known)
Names of all individuals to be listed on the account
Social Security numbers for all account holders (Required for patronage distributions and identity protection under the Red Flags Rule)
Driver’s license number
Deposit to open the account (Deposit amount is based on the highest one-month bill from the previous 12 months of service at the location)

If you are moving or no longer need electric service at a property, please contact RVEC to request a service disconnect.

To stop service, be prepared to provide:

Requested service end date (Please ask the new owner or occupant to contact us to establish their account.)
Map location number or account number
Forwarding address and phone number (Used for final billing and patronage distributions)

Important Information About Disconnects

Any deposit on your account will be applied to your final bill. Remaining credits will be refunded.
If you do not wish to keep service available for future use, you must request the removal and retirement of the service at that location and complete the form.
If a new owner or occupant does not contact RVEC within 48 hours of the stop service date, the service will be disconnected. This may result in reconnection fees and inconvenience for both parties.

Complete the Stop Service Form

Married members: Include both spouses on the membership application.*
Roommates: Include roommate information on the application.*
Businesses: Provide your Federal ID number, along with the name of an authorized contact and voting representative.

*Including all applicable individuals ensures everyone has access to account information and that names are included in future patronage (capital credit) distributions.
