Quick Energy Saving Tips
Switch to LED lighting
- Swap out CFL and fluorescent light bulbs for Energy Star LED lighting. LED lights last longer than ordinary bulbs AND they use less energy.
Do a home energy audit
- Have our expert analyze what items in your home use the most energy, and give you tips on how to decrease your energy consumption.
Set your thermostat back
- Setting your thermostat back even a few degrees, especially when you are gone for the day, can save you energy on your energy bill.
Use Energy Star appliances
- Out shopping for a new clothes washer, dishwasher, clothes washer, or freezer? Got an appliance from 25+ years ago that no longer runs? Buy a new appliance with the Energy Star logo on them that are certified to save energy. In addition, check with your local cooperative to see if any rebates are available.
